WX FOUNDER
WX FOUNDER is a model that honors the late Miles Freeman Sr., a U.S. Army veteran and one of the founders of WILEY X®, a pioneer of modern combat eyewear MCEP (Military Combat Eye Protection). It is a 6-curve impact-resistant eyewear that meets the impact resistance standard Z87+ of the American National Standard/American Protective Eyewear Standard ANSI Z87.1 and the impact-resistant frame standard Z87-2+ for prescription-compatible designs.
New WX logo
A new logo has been added to WILEY X. This new logo will be used in conjunction with the familiar traditional logo from now on.
New factory in Texas, USA/assembly model
In 2023, WX HQ (WilyX Headquarters) will completely relocate from California to a new building in Texas. WX HQ also houses the new WX Factory, which is equipped with the latest equipment.
The new WX HQ and WX Factory have passed the US military audit set forth in the military performance specifications of MIL-PRF-32432 and have begun full-scale operations as an APEL® (Authorized Protective Eyewear List) manufacturer of MCEP (Military Combat Eye Protection) combat eyewear approved by the US military.
*In light of the current global situation and as a risk hedge, parts are manufactured in multiple countries or in the United States, and final assembly is carried out at the new WX Factory.

The MIL-PRF-32432 military performance specification for eyewear requires that the manufacturer be audited by the US military in addition to the performance requirements of the product itself. If a company or factory relocates, it must undergo a new military audit to ensure that its manufacturing facilities, quality control, inspection system, etc. meet the requirements of the US military.
Impact-resistant eyewear for adults
WXFOUNDER has a calm design and incorporates the performance of impact-resistant eyewear born from military technology to protect people.
Designed with shock-resistant logic in mind
When hit, the lens elastically deforms, absorbing and dispersing the shock generated by the impact. Based on this basic shock-resistant logic, the front frame and temples of the lens mount are made of TORILOID™, a super-elastic resin developed from military technology to protect people. In addition, a non-slip rubber grip is attached to the bottom of the temples.
WX FOUNDER is impact-resistant eyewear for adults that can be worn casually without hesitation.
Side shields that comply with national safety glass standards
Although eyewear with a shallow curve of 6 or less is easy to wear on a daily basis and has a good design, there are gaps on both sides of the frame that expose the eyes. Eyewear that exposes the eyes in this way cannot meet the safety standards of each country.
WX FOUNDER is equipped with removable side shields, making it a 6-curve impact-resistant eyewear that meets the safety standards of each country.
*The WX FOUNDER side shields are removable. To remove the side shields from the frame, use the included side shield removal tool.
Compliant with US, Canadian and EU (Euro) safety glass standards
This is premium protective eyewear that is certified "safe and quality proven" in compliance with US ANSI Z87.1 (Z87+), Canadian Z94.3, and EU (Euro) EN166 eye protection standards.
CAPTIVATE™ NP Tungsten Mirror lens (non-polarized)
SELENITE™ is a high-performance optical lens with "excellent impact resistance" born from military technology to protect people. CAPTIVATE™, which enhances visual performance, was created based on this and is a patented technology of WILEY X® . It expresses colors in the field of view vividly and clarifies the contours of objects that are overlooked by the naked eye, improving visual performance such as perspective, three-dimensionality, and depth of objects. This is combined with the characteristics of copper lenses.

UV protection rate: 99.9%
Also FDA approved as personal protective equipment for medical workers
This is a Class 1 medical device approved by the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) as protective equipment for medical professionals in the United States.
ANSI Z87.1 (Z87+) Prescription Lenses Compatible Impact Resistant Frame
The impact-resistant frames are designed to accommodate prescription lenses and are ANSI Z87.1 (Z87+) compliant. As proof of this, the frames are marked with the ANSI "Z87-2+" marking.
By combining the Z87-2+ impact-resistant frame with prescription lenses that are resistant to impacts, it is possible to create "prescription impact-resistant eyewear."
