A photochromic lens whose lens density changes according to sunlight. Protects your eyes from ultraviolet rays and visible light (dazzle) and maintains healthy vision every day. Reduces glare caused by visible light.

Extra Active is designed to react to visible light as well. Its special feature is that it can be colored even through the car's windshield (UV protection), providing comfort while driving. The transmittance of Extra Active is 50% inside a car at 27°C. (The degree of tinting inside a car depends on multiple factors, such as the shape, slope, and other characteristics of the car's windshield, the position of the seat, and side windows.) When driving a motorcycle or car, use tunnels, indoor parking lots, etc. Please note that it may not be appropriate in dark places or at dusk.
For ExtraActive, we applied a photochromic dye that is activated by both visible and ultraviolet light. That is, in addition to traditional photochromic molecules that respond only to ultraviolet energy, they also contain molecules that respond to visible light. Thanks to this special molecule, it is tinted even through the windshield of a car, and remains slightly tinted indoors.
Transitions Extra Active has an AR coating and has a transmittance of 89%. Therefore, it looks like it has some color. On the other hand, the color density outdoors can be increased up to 90% with Transitions Extra Active.
Like all photochromic lenses, the performance of Extra Active is dependent on temperature conditions. In a high temperature environment, Extra Active will not be as dark as it would be at normal temperatures. In low temperature environments, the color will be darker than at room temperature indoors. However, Extra Active is the product with the highest color density, especially at high temperatures. At a temperature of 35°C, Extra Active has a concentration of 80%.
