My friend, artist Komatsuzaki, is holding a solo exhibition.

This is Pinakoteka Gallery in Kanda, Tokyo.

Painting has no beginning or end. Because it is the very brilliance of all things.

This is the second drawing exhibition.

Last time, I gave everyone a look at it under the title "The Power of the Pencil."

This time, the main theme was "drawing and color" using water-based, oil-based, and color pens.

A one-shot match with a pen was a last-minute struggle with myself, and it was also a world of personal pleasure. This is an exhibition of its trajectory.

My serious involvement in drawing dates back to the age of 16, when I started attending an art institute.

When I was a student at art university, and even though I was studying contemporary art, I was always looking for the quality of drawing to express my work.

Students studying abroad in England and France were disappointed in the overwhelming drawing ability of these giants. Exploration. Impressed. It was a repeat.

Above all, it was my father, who was a painter, who taught me the basics of drawing.

If it weren't for these bass encounters and teachings, I wouldn't have the drawings I do today.

And as I spend my days drawing and drawing and drawing from the past to the present, I think I've been able to draw a little bit of my own original line.

The challenge of drawing that will continue from now on is a journey to seek answers to the eternity within myself.

Please enjoy this glimpse of my drama.

I wish you all the best in the drama of your life.

2015 Tetsuro Komatsuzaki

After completing his first archived solo exhibition, Komatsuzaki strongly felt the importance of line and held a drawing exhibition titled ``The Power of the Pencil.''

After working on his current style and presenting a masterpiece at the second exhibition, he once again tackled the motif head-on with a single pencil.

And so, I decided to take on the challenge of the limitless world of art.

He believes that each time he picks up a brush, he creates sharpened creativity and originality, and eliminates waste.

That's why this work is so important, not just a process, but a linear trajectory entrusted to drawing and color.

Auspicious day in October 2015
